Part 2: The Wheel Of Life

Living

Your life and the success you enjoy will largely depend on one’s ability to plan and structure yourself for the attainment of fulfilled happiness. The sad reality is that most people spend more time planning their wedding day then they do their marriage.

An aircraft is designed to fly. Its purpose is to transport people from one destination to another. Our life moves through many stages as we grow. But for life the important thing is not so much the destination, as that is the same for everyone. What’s important for us is the journey. The aircraft is not designed to sit idol on the tarmac. The more time in the air the better the plane performs. It is engineered to fly. We are engineered to live and grow.

What takes place on the ground ultimately determines the success of the next scheduled flight of the aircraft. It’s on the ground that it is serviced, refueled, and safety checks completed.

With great gusto and a rush of adrenalin the aircraft ascends into the skies fully prepared for all weather conditions. This ascendancy is much like the start of our adulthood, the world at our feet. Finally as the flight draws to an end the pilot begins to prepare for a safe landing. Our life is no different. Before you know it, we too will be looking for somewhere to land.

Life is such a gift. It’s not an easy journey but it's a hell of a ride. From time to time you will need to take a risk, that’s the only way you can grow. But understand that without a purpose in life and a plan you will surely never reach your God given talents. No matter what stage your flight (Life) is at, it is never too late to change your flight path and become the person you were born to be.

Make time and plan your flight for life. You can not know what lies ahead. All the planning in the world will not allow for tragedies and unplanned windfalls. But remember that when you fail to plan you have effectively planned to fail. Whatever flight path you choose be sure to remember that a successful life is one that has acquired fulfilled happiness, and fulfilled happiness doesn’t come from a perfect world, it comes through living and growing through an imperfect world.
